Anti-spam Policy

Message Slinger has a zero tolerance spam policy for all users of our services. Any accounts deemed as violating our policies will be terminated. As an email service provider, we strive to make sure we follow all the rules for the Internet. community and that it is our job to help enforce it. This page outlines all the precautions and steps we take to ensure that all our users abide by our policies to help reduce spam across the Internet.

What Is Spam?

According to Wikipedia, "e-mail spam, also known as unsolicited bulk email (UBE) or unsolicited commercial email (UCE), is the practice of sending unwanted e-mail messages, frequently with commercial content, in large quantities to an indiscriminate set of recipients."

Here at Message Slinger, it's a simple definition: if the person did not give you permission to send you that message, it is spam. Spam is a plague upon the Internet, and we are here to help do our part to fight it.

Permission Lists

We are a permission-based email marketing company and only allow such lists to be imported and utilized in our system. So what that means is that only people who have opted into your subscriber lists can be emailed. And opted-in basically means that that customer, subscriber, or member of your company or organization gave you permission to send them emails by either signing up or having purchased or utilized your services within the past eighteen (18) months.

Permission Lists

Because of our permission-based policy, that means that we do not allow any lists that have been rented, purchased, or any transfers from any other service other than your own.

Fresh Lists

To help cut back on spam, one of our policies we have in place is to make sure your lists are fresh, and that your recipients on file have received a email from you within the past eighteen (18) months. In addition, we have anti-spam programs that will automatically flag you if your you receive more than 15% bounced emails of your total subscriber list. So it's a good idea for you to review your subscriber list and filter your database frequently.
